About an hour's drive
north of Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico's Pacific Coast, you will find Punta
Mita, and the Four Seasons Resort. From the entrance of the resort
property to the club house is about another 10 minute drive. (Pictured
above is the green for Hole 3-B)

When Jack Nicklaus designed the course for the Four Season Resort at Punta
Mita, he did something unique. He used a small island, about 175 yards
offshore, for one of the greens. It is surrounded by what has to be the
bigger water hazard in the world, the Pacific Ocean, and is the only
natural island green in the world. Hole number 3 is considered by many to
be one of the most beautiful holes in the world. If the tide is too high,
or the water too rough for the small boat to take you to the island, there
is an alternate green. Either way, playing the Four Seasons Golf Course
will be an experience that will live on in memory.
Since this is a semi- private course, intended for the hotel guests of the
Four Seasons Resort and golf club members , it is not played as heavily as
most public courses.
